March, well, I mean...

Sticking with the popular animated TV show theme for a sec, this about sums up March for me,

So what's happened in March?

So Feb was uncomfortable, but things has just started to settle down when March came.

Notable events,

 – A bird fell down the chimney, yep all the way down the bottom to behind the gas fire 🤦‍♀️ Not a super massive bug deal – unless you hate birds! Let me clarify on that one, I like birds from a distance, I appreciate birds and their ability to fly, however, flappy birds up close freak me the f out!!! So bye-bye nervous system!

 – Followed up by having to take my cat in as an emergency for an overnight stay. He’s fine now, glad things got caught quick, they thought it was bladder stones,  which can be fatal, hence the super duper quick trip to the vet.

Look at this little cutie with his shaved side where they did the ultrasound 😸

By this point it was like what nervous system, it’s sitting in a corner rocking back and forth.

But did it end there, nope, of course not,

 Notable event #3 for March,

 – Another bird fell down the chimney, yep again all the way to the bottom, right behind the gas fire. 😭😭😭

The first one was easy to get out, I opened the French Window and ran like hell out of the living room barricading the door behind me. I kid you not. I mean birds. Left it for several hours and it got out and off it went on it’s merry way. Did the second one, of course not, this is a Comedy of Errors my friend.

3 Days Later...

The bird is still in there. Yes I did everything I could and yes I wanted it to get out alive, I mean I don’t like them but I have  morals and an ethical code you know.

So I can to call in the big guns, my parents (😆 yes I know I am a grown woman of multiple decades, but you still look for an adultier adult!). Could they get it out?

Nope.

So plan B – taking out the Fireplace! Thankfully it was a pretty dimple job as the fireplace used to be an actual fireplace back in the day and seeing daylight off it pops after flying to the ceiling having me drop on the ground, and that’ where we shall leave this, the bird survive, my nervous system did not.

So, what else happened?

I’d love to say that was the end of March and while it was mildly terrifying, it was over, but no, have you met me yet, there is always more!

There were so many astrological events in March that I’m surprised any of us are still sane (I joke!). If you follow astrological events you will know that in March alone there was a partial lunar eclipse, a full lunar eclipse and Mercury retrograde (again!).

So of course, everything that could go wrong with previously tested and well set up systems went wrong! 😭

To the point that I was actually questioning whether my chosen path in tech was a totally mistake.

👉 Automation that were tested and running – stopped working

👉 Checkouts that were working failed

👉 Tags that were there, weren’t there and tags that shouldn’t have been there got added. ( One tag randomly added that the client neither nor I added, sent an email to over 200 people 🤦‍♀️No joke!)

👉 Total number of people that should have been added to a product, 65, actual people added to a product 71 (?!?! 🤬)

Questioning my Life Choices?

Indeed.

I think every entrepreneur hits this point at some point. I did start looking for jobs toward the end of the month.

As such I needed a bit more of an escape this month, so instead of the business books that I’ve been reading, I read for fun in March, see the books I read down below and pick up a copy today. Plus if you scroll down I’ve got a Kindle Unlimited offer just for you!

What I’m
Reading

As I was feeling a bit more on edge than usual in March, I thought it was better to try and read to wind down in the evening’s rather than watch some fast paced show that get’s you on edge. God idea, sure, until you pick page turning books! 🤦‍♀️😆
