How are we in April already?

May 4th 2025
I’m not sure about you but when I was a kid, people in their 30’s and 40’s seemed super old (sorry!), they also seemed super put together. Whenever I asked anyone how they felt, they always used to say to me I don’t feel older than X.
They also used to tell me that time seems to speed up as you get older.
As I am in my 4th decade now, yes really (I’m telling myself this btw) I can attest that time does indeed seem to speed up, and yes you still feel like you’re in your twenties! 😱🤯
So what's happened in April?
The build up to my clients bundle was super stressful, mainly because there are so many moving parts, but because my mum’s cat went missing again!
Yes I love my cats and yes I will talk about them whenever I get the chance and if you hate cats, well we probably shouldn’t be friends. 😿
So while I was posting on every group going trying to find a cat that had only been back a few weeks, looking like a exceptionally bad cat owner, hey, can you look for my cat, I’ve lost him, again!🤦♀️. I was setting up a bundle for a client that was due to go live a week later that has 70+ Contributors.
Launch Day
If any of you have ever launched a product, I mean a big one where you have told a bunch of people about it and now you absolutely have to stick to the dates that you’ve picked, you’ll know that the close that date gets, the more and more stressed out you become.
So launch day comes around, and should be simple right, you’ve spent 3+ months working on something and testing it all within an inch of your sanity! That you pray everything works, because let’s be honest, when it comes to tech, nothing ever goes to plan all of the time right?!
The time ticks around to turning on the live page, I update the page and hit publish.
Refresh the page…
and…
nothing! 😭
Nothing Happened!
The page wouldn’t refresh, it was stuck on the waitlist page!
At this point there are 500+ people on the waitlist, waiting for it to go live!
Tip 1 – Make sure to turn on your pages BEFORE the time that you said to everyone else!
This was a major plus here, the time we told everyone the page was going live was actually 3 hours in the future for me. It’s always good to be ahead of anything tech related that could break when you’ve got something big going, it gives you time to fix it, because no matter how prepared you are, there is always something you haven’t thought if or prepared for.
And the rest of the month?
Well that’s where something really exciting comes into play, well I think so anyways.
After 3.5 years of being a VA, I’ve decided that I’m not going to be one anymore.
Don’t panic!
I’m not going anywhere, I’m just levelling up!
As of May 1st, you can all me your resident OBTM (Online Business Tech Manager). If you are unsure as to what an OBTM is, you can read my blog post here on What the heck is an OBTM?
That pretty much sums up April.

What I’m

I barely did any reading in April except client copy and customer portals over and over again! In the few mins that I had off, I did read a few chapters each of these,
– John Lamerton – Evergreen Assets: The ‘Do the work once system
– Fiona Valpy – The Cypress Maze
