Can you run your business whilst being inconsistent?

Yes, is the short answer.

There is a lot of information around us online, on social media and honestly in most of the books I read about business, that you need to have discipline, that you need to show up every day, that you need to post to social media or be doing something big in your business every. Single. Day.

But, what if you can't?

What if your life doesn’t allow that?

What if you have a limited amount of time to dedicate to your business?

No one should be shamed for trying to get their business up and running in 5 hours a week. Will it take longer, probably. Does it mean that you shouldn’t do it because you can’t do all of the things all of the time? Heck no!

The online world is a super fast paced environment, we know that, we all know that we are scrolling through social media and there is an event that pops up and you think, I want to go to that, only to find out it was 2 days ago.

Is it important to promote your business, yes of course. Does this mean you have to post every day on social media, nope.

Does this mean you have to dedicate an hour each week to creating content, maybe.

Do you have to constantly create new offers? Nope

Yet if you tell people about your business, what you offer, and you promote your offer in social media groups, or update your LinkedIn etc, you’re still moving forward.

I’d imagine one of the reasons you got into building and creating your own business is to have freedom, time freedom, to do whatever you want to do when you want to do it. Hop on a plane tomorrow, great, no holiday form to submit, just take your biz with you.

One of the things that I found super hard coming out of general employment was changing my mindset. I was still trying to work a 9-5, even though the 9-5 lifestyle doesn’t suit me. It doesn’t suit my sleeping pattern, or take into account migraine days, or days where I just need a break.

So know this, you are totally doing enough.

Your business grows at the pace you need it to grow.

If you aren’t getting clients, ask yourself, are you ready to hold clients and their needs and do you have the energy and time to give them?

I know in my biz that even if I launch a new offer, I have to be ready to receive. If I’m burnt out from creating the offer, no one turns up.

You may build it, but if you don’t have capacity, they won’t come.

Take a moment today, are you actually creating the life you want with your biz or are you trying to get away from a boss and a 9-5 and are making your biz supplement this.

If you’re trying to squeeze your biz in your life or your life into your biz, what steps can you take to change this?

What do you really want your life and biz to look like?
